My truth about Moika Tighten & Lift Neck Cream

I will wholeheartedly admit that I succumb to the repetitive posts on my feeds. Targeted marketing at its finest. If it works for all these people; then why not for me right? The term photoshop comes to mind but at that point I have already been brainwashed. My ultimate excuse is that I owe it to all of you to provide my honest review, sans photo enhancements. Just shamelessly me.

I am loyal to a few products, as some faithful readers know. I have good reasons not to stray but as mentioned above, even I get tempted at times especially if it can save me a few bucks. In comes Moika Tighten & Lift Neck Cream. With Capuacu butter; the same stuff used in some of the bum creams. It also contains something called Matribust, and of course the usual players: caffeine and some form of hyaluronic acid.

Matribust, I later learned, is a firming ingredient that improves the appearances of the neck and décolleté. There’s a complicated name for the ingredients but it basically is derived from jojoba oil.

Now mind you, maybe I didn’t give the product a fair chance as it claims to need 2 weeks to show signs of improvement. My vanity kicked in when after week one of swapping this product with my steady product, my turkey neck slightly reappeared. The elasticity of my skin was diminishing with out a doubt. What’s a girl to do?

After one week of Moika

Did I get the wrong brand? Moika runs for about 40 dollars. There are other cheaper versions in almost the exact same packaging on Amazon, starting around 10 bucks. They do all seem to have identical ingredients. It would have been so nice since my old faithful, Strivectin, can cost anywhere upward from 90 when not on sale.

Needless to say, as always, social media influencers are not dermatologists. Are there times when they do find that magic in a jar? Absolutely. This one just wasn’t it for me.

At the risk of running out of products to test for you; I will resort back to my Strivectin TL advanced tightening neck cream. Which I stock up on when it’s on sale alongside LimeLife Dew Confidence Oil when I need some extra help. As shown below, keeping in mind that I’m 54 1/2 it appears to give my skin more elasticity and has definitely tightened.

Neck back to StriVectin

I will leave you with this. The neck gives away your age first as well as your hands. It’s confrontational at times but also the reality that there’s not much we can do about it. No botox, fillers or tucking will hide this. It is what it is right? But as always: up until then I am going down swinging!
