New Year’s Resolutions 2021

Last year I covered the top 5 new year’s resolutions which were the usual “exercise, eat right, don’t procrastinate” type of promises to ourselves. Mine also included reaching out to loved ones when I am thinking about them. I have been good about all of the above, although I have to work on my friends and family oversees as far as reaching out is concerned.

2020 sucked and it’s not all going to disappear at the stroke of midnight. So therefore my resolutions will first and foremost be to stay positive, something I usually am but it has been tested. I truly have nothing to complain about and I will keep reminding myself of that.
I will continue or get back in to, I should say, exercising regularly. Keeping your lungs healthy and clear at our age is crucial. As well as strength training, since my aging bones need that as well!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record; I will get back to eating healthier. This December month was not as bad as prior years but the holidays are still the ultimate excuse to eat the sweet potato pie.
I just read somewhere that you can’t be too ambitious about your resolutions because that will lead to disappointment. Maybe this year will just have to be a year of reminding ourselves how amazing we are! I added the ability to put together Ikea furniture to my list of awesomeness yesterday. I should have added that to my top 5 last year!
