I am seriously trying! You have to give me credit for getting my hair cut and colored by someone who knows what they are doing (and is amazing at it!)
I figured the next step would be to actually try to blow dry my hair, or better yet, style it. Since I don’t own a blow dryer and I my hand/round brush coordination sucks…..I decided to try one of those blow-dry hair curling things in one.
Leave it up to me to get that thing stuck in my hair within 30 seconds flat! It has two buttons; one that rolls “in” the other “out”. I may have hit both of these a couple of times which lead to the above mentioned scenario. My hair dresser is so cool that I can reach out to her 24/7 and her advise was “stop rolling girl!!”. Noted! With her advise and a you-tube tutorial later, I was able to semi-properly work my new device. I stopped touching the rolling buttons. I just roll it in myself, hold it for a few seconds and release. My hair is pin straight therefore the result will never be dramatic but it did give my hair more body and a little swoop. It’s a keeper! The Conair Infinitipro 2-inch and 1 1/2 inch Hot Air Spin Brush. It’s worth the 50 bucks.
One of my friends who is blessed with amazingly thick, shiny hair swears by the Revlon Pro Collection Salon One-Step hair dryer and voluminizer (they totally made that word up). She claims it cuts her hair drying and styling routine in half. She has naturally thick wavy hair. Us thin, dull haired girls found this airbrush to get a little too hot for our manes. The price is around the same as the Conair spin brush. Maybe this one is a good buy for those with thicker, curlier hair.
The Ferrari of all curling devices is the Dyson Airwrap Styler. It will set you back about $500.00 but it comes with an awesome carrying case!! All sarcasm aside, this baby actually works. I would love to knock it but I can’t. In my hands it is probably a deadly weapon but in the right hands it’s magical. Whether you have thin, thick or purple hair…..it will give you a prefect curl that lasts. I just can’t mentally justify spending that kind of money on a hair blow dryer curling thingy……
