COVID-19

I didn’t want to go here but I have to acknowledge what is going on in the world today. I am not going to preach about how to stay healthy, or supply you with a list of do’s and don’ts, since I am not an expert on this subject. It is a scary time for everyone on different levels. For those who had loved ones pass away, for those who are sick, for people who are home without pay, for the eldery….every one.

I try to maintain a certain amount of normalcy in my life during this lock down. Last week I was sitting in a park by the river, eating my lunch. A gentleman was playing the guitar, a few others gathered at a safe distance enjoying this little peace of tranquility. I was happy to see kids biking along the canal, families taking walks. We are still allowed to go outside! Just be sensible in what capacity.

My niece is turning 21 on Saturday we are all joining a Skype birthday party. We never thought about doing this before, eventhough all my family lives accross the pond. Hopefully we can continue to do this even after we recover from this lock down. It will be a special moment during her day, and something we will continue to talk about for the rest of her life.

While you’re at home; make the best of it. Re-organize, do some yoga, read a book, reach out to loved ones, go for a nice long walk. You may want to get some house plants to increase oxygen levels in your home.

Personally; there will be a lot of organizing, DYI mani-pedi’s, walks, exercise and hair dyeing in my near future. Catching up on life. Realize now I’ve been running a lot lately…

Be safe. Stay healthy. Be vigilant.
