Sunscreen

I am so bad when it comes to sunscreen. Even though most of my blogs are about fighting the signs of aging! Sunscreen should be number one on my list. I have gotten a lot better, but I still love a little summer glow.

Experts are now preaching about wearing sunscreen indoors. SRSLY? Yes ….when you’re sitting close by a window for the majority of the day. Fair enough. UV lights can penetrate through a window. The window can block UVB which will prevent you from burning but not the UVA which are the aging rays.

This next part I got all twisted. First of all, you apparently still need sunscreen even if your make up has an SPF. My thought would be to apply sunscreen over my make up. But the opposite is the right way: sunscreen underneath your foundation is the way to go.

Another thing I may have to add to my seemingly growing arsenal is sunscreen powder. It’s effective at blocking both UVA and UVB rays, and it looks easy enough to reapply as the day goes on. I will test to let you know which one tickles my fancy.

We all know we’re supposed to reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. But who really does? Only about 60% of us do. But there is a reason to be consistent! Not only can sunscreen prevent wrinkles, it can actually reverse them. Say wha!?! Reverse wrinkles? Hey I’m just relaying the findings of my research….don’t hold me to it!

I will start practicing what I preach, test some powder and will let you know if my lines are diminishing! Stay tuned, but don’t hold your breath. Because the latter could take about a year…
