My truth about Peter Thomas Roth instant Firmx
I now realize why the video went viral. I have a similar one but am too vain to share it, although I will set my vanity aside to show you the real life before and after. In this case, I am referring to the face cream in this case. I have yet to try the eye cream that went viral.
There are 3 ways to use this potion. One is to apply it on clean skin and keep your face expressionless for at least 7 minutes. That is harder than it sounds. I focused on my squirrel cheeks which tend to sag more and more. You will instantly feel this stuff tighten your skin, almost as if you put glue on your face. It will leave a slight white residue which you’re supposed to wipe off with water. Don’t go overboard with this because you will wipe off the product as well.
The tricky part follows; you may use moisturizer over top of it and a gently pat foundation on. That, in theory, does not work out well. Anything liquid will get clumpy. I applied a tiny bit of moisturizer followed by Laura Geller Powder Foundation which seemed to work out better, but the magic “lift” was not apparent anymore.
The second option is to blend the product with your moisturizer. I will have to try this again. I blended a drop of it on the back of my hand with a pretty generic moisturizer. I didn’t want to blend it with a moisturizer that contained vitamin C or retinol since I am not sure if it will bite with the acting ingredient in the Firmx. I honestly don’t know what this ingredient is. (A blend of silicates and seaweed, I learned later). I did not notice a lot of difference nor did I feel the tightness but I will try this again.
The third option is the most drastic. You apply the product to your face in a thick layer like you would a mask, and let it sit for an hour. Once again expressionless. In this case; not so hard to do, since after 10 minutes you won’t be able to move your face. After 20 minutes you look like a ghostly version of your 18 year old self. Ghostly due to the white film. Eighteen year old self because your skin will become visibly taut. This seemed promising!
Right before the hour was up, I said good bye to a younger version of myself, I decided to crack a smile. This shattered the illusion. After rinsing the mask off my skin was slightly red and possibly a bit more tight. Just not in the areas I was hoping for.
The whole experience made me realize that at one point I have to embrace the aging process and roll with it. I will continue to use products that will prevent or delay it, but there is no magic product out there to turn back time. Unless I resort to plastic surgery, Botox or fillers. I choose not to go there, although tempted.
I am young at heart and feel as if sometimes the exterior does not match it. But young at heart will keep me mentally young which will keep me active. Overall that is key! Keep it moving, get lots of sleep, stay hydrated and moisturized. Have frequent orgasms, dance and laugh. The latter may not be so great for the skin but I am proud of my laugh lines.

I am pleasantly pushing 50 and have a lot to say and share and won’t shy away from self-humiliation. We are not our parents generation, as corny as it may sound but Madonna paved the way for us to look and act like teenagers even though we may look like fools…at least we are having way more fun!
I was not impressed. It left a dry patchy feeling to my skin. I felt the tightness but did not lift like I thought it would. When I washed it off and t left an irritated feeling to my lower jaw line and cheek.
I so wish it would have worked!! Botox is not in my list of alternative options 😊

Did not work, always leaves a white film that is not easy to just wipe away. Does not matter how thin a coat you use!!

I always say that every thing is not for everybody. It worked for a split second for me. Possibly if you’re younger and don’t require additional concealer or make up it may be the best thing ever.
Has anyone noticed any swelling or burning to their upper eyelids after using this product? I only apply it under my eyes, not on my eyelids, and for two days now following that my upper eyelids have been pink, puffy, and burning a little. It’s the same feeling you get if you use too much acne medicine on your skin and it burns and turns kind of pink. Is it just me?!
I haven’t heard this reaction from anyone yet but it could definitely be some kind of allergic reaction.
Pat yourself on the back for a good try. I’m pretty lucky genetically my skin at 68 isn’t to bad, but I do work hard to keep it ok. I’ve tried many skincare lines as you can imagine. Yikes! But there really isn’t a quick fix. So I if one cleanses exfoliates and hydrates you’re half way there. I use a Canadian skin care called Riversol, made with cedar tree, I supplement that with South Korean skincare. I use a frownies collagen mask and under eye patches and forehead mask. I use red light just recently 3x a week. If I’m needing a pick me up just a little Botox on my 11’s. Sometimes a little fill as well. Not often! Usually for summer. It really is a small amount. I wouldn’t before but I did give in and I have to say it does make me feel alive refreshed and 20 years younger. And it lasts 4-6 months. My Botox lasted 6 months wow. The cost is minimal and if it makes me feel fantastic why not! I deserve it and it’s not invasive. What is invasive is doing this over and over, or starting too young then you can have a mess. I thank you for posting I think your very brave. I can give you more info if anyone wants info shout out on this blog. My skin is not too bad like I said but it is sensitive so everything I use if fine for sensitive skin! Oh and all products are affordable. Not like high end skincare lines! 😌

I ordered OTR instant eye fix. I’ve tried it over and over. It does not do anything at all, i feel scammed due to their real time videos. After I got it and tried it mult. times, results were not there for my puffy under eyes, dark circles or lines at 46. Mind you I use eye serum and under eye gel pads at night. You can’t wear makeup w it, it does nothing and now after I’ve tried it, I can’t put any makeup around my eyes , meaning even w out the eye fix gel. If I just put concealer under my eyes and nothing else my eyes now puff up even more, and water all day! My eyes are foggy, feeling like I have fuzzy vision! Thanks to this product I can no longer wear anything to cover up my circles or I pay for it all day! Has this happened to anyone else? I can’t wear anything eye makeup after trying this so called Miracle w in minutes but instead I can’t wear anything eye makeup near my eyes now and can not see clearly! This should be banded!
Thanks for sharing! It sounds like the same results as the face cream which also does not allow me to layer foundation afterwards. I have yet to try the eye cream but since that is a more sensitive area, I have been a bit hesitant.

Very disappointed in this, especially when I spent $48 for it! Don’t buy, it leaves a white film, what’s the use of the cream? Yeah wrinkles go away for a bit but parden the white film pasted on my face ! Grrrrrr!!!! NOT how FB or Tik Tok portrays in their live videos.

Peter Thomas Roth product needs to have a warning on it. It burnt my skin, puffed it up and left an actual red sore on it.

I’ve read all the reviews….AFTER I already purchased it ! Stupid me- and it did absolutely nothing for me- not even for a second -so dissappointed. I’m 72 with a wrinkle for almost every year ! I wanted to try and smooth out my face to match my emotional age….and fell for the advertisement and all the BS that they promised. Total waste of time and money -do not do the same thing I did – don’t buy it !
I purchased my PTR instant firmx temporary face tightener last night. Used for the very first time this mirning and it was so wonderful to see the wrinkles on my cheeks become smooth. Its been a very long time since my cheeks were firm (I’m in my 70’s and I am impressed! Purchased his instant firm eye tightener and the ultimate solution 5 multitask moisturizer too. Used the moisturizer at bedtime and think I am going to like it.
I have looked fir a product that would do what this one did for me for years. Most of what I have tried have not done what this facetightener did for me. Just wish it was a product that was more than a 10/12 fix. I would purchase this product again.

Tried the new formula eye fix and the face tightener. The eye cream did smooth very fast it burned as well. After removing my skin was red and needed moisture. The next morning my eye were red with very large puffy bags underneath and more lines. I looked like little sacs of fluid were filling under my eyes. 2 days later they are still there.
Had the exact same experience as everyone else with the face tightener. Leaves a white residue and when you try to wipe it off it takes product off. Can’t wear make up over top of any of it.
It will all be returned for refund! So disappointed that I allowed myself to be duped in the skin care/aging market again!

During allergy season, I get puffy… really puffy so I tried this cream too and though the white film is very hard to manage, a trick that works for me is that I use it at night and am noticeably less puffy the next morning. I use really good moisturizer so it hasn’t dried out my skin at all but I probably won’t use it every day just in case. Thankfully my eyes let me know when my allergies are on the way. If you have a whole tube lying around that you won’t use and get puffy too, maybe try it . Better than $50 in the garbage… 😉
